Killa Who?

That was probably your reaction when you saw this post on the homepage. To be honest, I thought the same when I found out he was supporting Frankmusik at my latest gig.

Myself and three friends simultaneously said ‘WHO THE EFF IS KILLA KELA?!’ when we got to Nottingham Rescue Rooms last week. But oh my, were we in for a treat.

I wish I had something sucky to write about, but everything I go to just seems to be amazing! In the end, I enjoyed Killa more than I enjoyed Frankmusik – the guy who we’d gone specifically to see!

He gave an amazing performance, full of original beatboxing, singing and jumping about like a crazy fool. I especially liked his crazy pilot hat! To top it off, we met him afterwards. (My friend totally crapped herself because he winked at us.) He turned out to be a really nice person too.

Killa performed his own songs, along with song amazing remixes of other artists’ releases. Among those performed were Beyonce’s ‘Naughty Girl’ and ‘Boom Boom Pow’ by the Black Eyed Peas. You could tell Killa was working his arse off too – he didn’t just stand and sing, (sort of like Frank did) he actually tried to get the audience going and by the end, we were all on his side.
