If you’re a fan of French pop singers then you may already know who Yelle is.
If not then you probably, erm… won’t.

This 26 year old favours catchy electropop songs to be more precise.
And yes, they are catchy.
Though sometimes a little more annoying than I’d like.
Her music videos are 80’s inspired, always a hit with me, though somewhat cheesy in parts.
Actually, that describes her music generally now I think about it.
If I had to describe her I’d probably call her ‘The eurovision’s answer to Gwen Stefani’.
But you can decide whether that’s a compliment or an insult.
I don’t even know myself if I like her or not to be frank.
All I know is when I’m feeling crappy I can pop “Je veux te voir” on, and the combination of embarrassing dance-moves on the video and catchy French lyricism (which yes, I generally understand) manage to make me smile again.
All-in-all, she’s alright. In small doses.
