Onion gets all warm and fuzzy for something special to put in his mouth.

When I first discovered dental floss, I was none too pleased.

It was boring. And took time. And, essentially, was just one big chore with slightly painful consequences.

Before? I used this Oral B dental floss. And frankly? It sucked. Big time.

There was something about it that I couldn’t stand. The way its filaments would fling apart randomly. The way that, from time to time, the ‘thread’ would flap over my teeth when I was beginning my flossing session. I wasn’t impressed.

And honestly? I thought I was stuck with having to do this not-so-fun flossing routine for the rest of my life with teeth. Dammit.

The other day? I decided I was going to change. Not only because of the fact that Oral B are owned by Procter & Gamble — a firm that seems to enjoy animal testing — but more because, frankly, the product itself was unacceptable. And me? I thought it was time to look for something better.

My first step, unfortunately, was a wrong one: I went for these dental ’sticks’ which didn’t seem to work and, honestly, sucked. Uhm. No.

So I scooted back to the store and searched upon the dental care shelves to find something that A) Wasn’t made by some big bad wolf company; and B) Actually worked.

This was the point upon which I discovered the awesomeness of Aloe Dent Dental Floss.

As you can no doubt tell from my previous use of awesome, I was very, very pleased.

I mean, I know that you shouldn’t really get satisfaction from dental floss. I mean, really, it’s just something you use to maintain oral hygiene. But really?

It was so much better. And after studying its little ‘buy me’ spiel, I think I’ve discovered why I’m in live with it.

Apparently, this super awesome Aloe Dent floss is coated in beeswax which stops it from fragementing. Essentially speaking, this uberawesome floss is very much the same as the Oral B stuff. Except it’s not. It has something which costs, no doubt, very little to produce.

Unsurprisingly, it cost far less and this new floss is far more enjoyable to use. Well, you know, as enjoyable as floss goes.

Even better? The awesomeuberamazing dental floss has a mint ‘taste’ thing. For once, too, it’s actually like real mint. Not just horrible, synthesised mint. Ace.

And that, my friend, is why there truly is something in the air with Aloe Dent dental floss. Score.

[review pros="Strong.
Doesn't fall apart easily.
Mint 'taste' is real.
Not made by a conglomerate." cons="Slightly difficult to get floss out." score=90]
